US President Donald Trump said that Washington is ready to lift the naval blockade of Iran after Tehran fulfills four key conditions. Among the US demands are the abandonment of nuclear weapons, demining of the water area and the destruction of its enriched uranium stockpiles.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He wrote about this in Truth Social<\/a> .<\/p>\n

According to Donald Trump, the main condition for the full restoration of free navigation through the Strait of Hormuz is Iran’s final refusal to develop nuclear weapons<\/strong> .<\/p>\n

The second demand, the US president called the complete demining of the water area<\/strong> . Trump stated that the American side has already neutralized a significant part of the sea mines, and Iran must eliminate the remaining explosive devices.<\/p>\n

The third condition concerns the destruction of stocks of enriched nuclear material<\/strong> , which Trump said remained underground after US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. The American president stressed that this material must be removed and destroyed under international control.<\/p>\n

Trump called the fourth condition the coordination of further actions between the United States, Iran, and the International Atomic Energy Agency<\/strong> .<\/p>\n

“The Strait of Hormuz must be immediately opened to unrestricted international shipping without additional fees or restrictions,” Trump said.<\/p>\n

The US President also said that some of the secondary issues have already been agreed upon by the parties. At the same time, the issue of financial settlements between Washington and Tehran, he said, remains open.<\/p>\n

Separately, US Vice President J.D. Vance announced progress in negotiations between the United States and Iran.<\/p>\n

“I can’t guarantee that we’ll reach the goal, but I have a pretty good feeling at this point,” Vance said.<\/p>\n

He noted that the parties remain close to concluding an agreement, but there are still differences between them regarding stocks of enriched uranium and further enrichment.<\/p>\n

By the way, US and Iranian negotiators have agreed on a draft 60-day memorandum<\/a> to extend the ceasefire and begin negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that the US and Iran may soon agree on a basic agreement<\/a> that should stop tensions in the region and pave the way for full-fledged negotiations on the nuclear program.<\/p>\n
