The program acted as a temporary anti-crisis mechanism to support the population during the global oil crisis.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/svyrydenkoy\/2614\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">was announced<\/a> by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.<\/p>\n<p> According to Yulia Svyridenko, the fuel cashback program was in effect from March 20 to May 31. It was introduced as a temporary anti-crisis tool to financially support Ukrainians during the worst global oil crisis in the last 50 years.<\/p>\n<p> The national program allowed citizens to save from 5% to 15% depending on the type of fuel.<\/p>\n<p> The Prime Minister noted that 91% of the program&#8217;s users were owners of economy-class cars with a small engine capacity.<\/p>\n<p> During the program, Ukrainians opened about 500 thousand new National Cashback cards. According to Svyrydenko, this also contributed to the development of state digital services. Cashback funds accumulated within the program can be used for:<\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li> payment of utility bills;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> purchase of medicines;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> purchasing books;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> purchase of Ukrainian-made products;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> charity;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> support for the Defense Forces of Ukraine.<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p> Earlier, Viktor Bobyrenko, an expert at the Bureau of Policy Analysis <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/khaliava-dlia-vybortsiv-chy-spravdi-palyvnyy-keshbek-dopomahaie-ukraintsiam\/\">, harshly criticized the state initiative to pay compensation for the purchase of fuel on the air of &#8220;Pryamoy&#8221;.<\/a><\/p>\n<p> By the way, <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/keshbek-prodovzhyly-do-2028-roku-ale-vyplaty-urizaly-shcho-zminylosia\/\">the Cabinet of Ministers extended the operation of the \u201cNational Cashback\u201d program until the end of martial law<\/a> , but no longer than April 30, 2028.
