Russia’s full-scale aggression has catalyzed nation-building processes in Belarus, where citizens are increasingly distancing themselves from the Kremlin’s imperial ambitions. At the same time, the successful struggle of Ukrainians against the Russian invasion inspires Belarusians to continue the guerrilla struggle and wait for the right moment for change.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by<\/a> Belarusian public figure and media analyst Franak Vyachorka in a comment to “Pryamo”.<\/p>\n

He reported that the level of support for the direct entry of the Belarusian army into the conflict remains extremely low – only about 6% of the population.<\/p>\n

“Belarusians now understand that we are not Russia… Now Belarusians say: ‘We are not Russian.’ And for us, it was this war that catalyzed the nation-building process in our country,” said an advisor to Belarusian opposition leader Svitlana Tikhanovskaya.<\/p>\n
