The negotiation process between Ukraine and Russia has not reached a dead end. Despite the pause at the highest level, contacts between the parties continue.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by the head of the Presidential Office, Kirill Budanov, during the international forum “Security Architecture”, RBC-Ukraine reports<\/a> .<\/p>\n

According to him, certain processes within the framework of peace efforts are ongoing, although they are not public.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“I never said that the negotiation process is at a dead end and I continue to stand by this opinion. Certain processes are ongoing, but they are not entirely public,” Budanov said.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

At the same time, he acknowledged that there is currently a certain pause in contacts at the highest political level. However, negotiations at the technical level are continuing, and Budanov called the prisoner exchanges one of the proofs of this.<\/p>\n

Speaking about Russia’s readiness for peace, the head of the OP expressed doubt that Moscow really wants to end the war. At the same time, he suggested that opportunities for certain steps on the part of the Russian Federation may arise in the near future.<\/p>\n

“I don’t think Russia really wants peace. But if we talk about readiness for certain actions, then now the prospects for this have appeared more than ever before,” he noted.<\/p>\n

Budanov also commented on rumors about a possible truce on Trinity. According to him, he has no information about any such agreements.<\/p>\n

The Head of the Presidential Office recalled the recent Russian attacks and their consequences for the civilian population, noting that against this background, it is difficult to talk about a ceasefire at the moment.<\/p>\n

As previously reported, Finnish President Alexander Stubb announced on May 25 his readiness to become a representative of the Europeans in potential peace negotiations with Russia.<\/a><\/p>\n

Recall that Ukraine is not interested in negotiations with the Russian Federation unless it agrees to a ceasefire.<\/a><\/p>\n
