The large-scale “1,000-for-1,000” prisoner exchange continues despite Russia’s attempts to drag out the process. At the same time, the Kremlin faces increasing difficulties in finding new soldiers for the war against Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Andriy Yusov, during the international forum “Security Architecture”, RBC-Ukraine reports<\/a> .<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to Yusov, work on the “1000 for 1000” exchange did not stop after the first stage. Ukraine continues negotiations and is working on the return of all its citizens, including those held by Russia since 2014.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“Negotiations have not stopped. We will continue this work, and there will definitely be a result,” the GUR representative emphasized.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

He separately drew attention to the situation with the staffing of the Russian army. According to him, Russia continues to recruit new people, but this is no longer enough to fully cover losses at the front.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Kremlin is trying to attract foreign mercenaries and look for new reserves. At the same time, the resources that were previously actively used to replenish the army are gradually being depleted.<\/p>\n

“The scale of recruiting barely covers the losses on the battlefield,” Yusov noted.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The intelligence representative also commented on the situation in occupied Crimea. He stated that strikes by Ukrainian forces on military facilities on the peninsula are yielding results. In particular, reports of fuel problems in Crimea may be related to this.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to him, such attacks not only create problems for the Russian army, but also destroy the image that the Kremlin has been trying to create for its own population for years.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Yusov also commented on the information about a possible massive Russian strike expected this weekend. In his opinion, the enemy uses such threats as an element of psychological pressure on Ukrainians.<\/p>\n

In addition, the GUR representative spoke about the work of Russian propaganda. According to him, Moscow continues to promote old narratives about “war fatigue”, trying to divide Ukrainians among themselves, discredit the authorities, and disrupt mobilization.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

To this end, Russia is increasingly using artificial intelligence, which helps create fakes and conduct information operations both against Ukraine and abroad.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

At the same time, Yusov is convinced that the Kremlin failed to achieve the main goals of the information war.<\/p>\n

“Ukrainians remain united in their support for the Security and Defense Forces and their readiness to resist,” he concluded.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, Budanov stated that the negotiation process between Ukraine and Russia has not reached a dead end.<\/a> Despite the pause at the highest level, contacts between the parties continue.<\/p>\n
