US President Donald Trump said he expects to reach a peace deal with Iran as early as next week.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The American leader stated<\/a> this in a comment to ABC News.<\/p>\n

We are talking about agreements to extend the ceasefire and unblock the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n

“I think it will happen within the next week,” Trump said, answering a question about the timing of the possible signing of the memorandum of understanding.<\/p>\n

He also acknowledged that the negotiations are difficult due to the tense relations between the parties.<\/p>\n

“It’s not an easy thing. It’s a really big country… there’s a lot of hostility there. So it’s not easy for them. In fact, from our perspective, it’s not easy either. But we’re getting what we need,” the US president said.<\/p>\n

Trump said a potential peace deal with Iran could have a greater impact than a military solution to the conflict, adding that there are still some issues that need to be agreed upon, so there is no final solution yet.<\/p>\n
