Ukraine must take full advantage of this window of opportunity. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\ud83d\udd25 HAS A WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY FOR PEACE OPENED?? POROSHENKO STORIES WHEN PEACE WILL FINALLY COME\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fbNR5EhVxTQ?feature=oembed\" width=\"678\" height=\"381\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p> &#8220;The night Ukraine just experienced has once again revealed to us what we, unfortunately, have long known: Putin doesn&#8217;t want peace, doesn&#8217;t seek a ceasefire, and has no intention of ending the war voluntarily. He wants Ukraine to become tired, to fade away, for the world to turn away, for fear to become stronger than dignity, and exhaustion to become stronger than freedom. However, war depends on more than just the will of a dictator. War requires resources, time, technology, allies, the economy, the resilience of society, and, ultimately, the balance of power. And that&#8217;s why today I want to say with great responsibility: Ukraine is closer to peace than ever before in the last four years,&#8221; Poroshenko said.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;But the window of opportunity we cannot afford to miss is limited to this summer. It&#8217;s a chance to cease fire and begin negotiations involving the US and Europe. Because when the only question is a ceasefire, the Russian dictatorship will have nowhere to go. Why has this opportunity arisen now? First and foremost, because the Ukrainian Armed Forces have proven once again: the strongest diplomacy begins where the enemy understands the cost of aggression. <strong>The time for drone diplomacy has arrived<\/strong> . In modern warfare, diplomacy often has the wings of drones, which fly daily deep into Russia&#8217;s interior, delivering arguments far more persuasive than any statements, declarations, or &#8216;deep concerns.&#8217; This isn&#8217;t emotion, not revenge. It&#8217;s the language of deterrence. It&#8217;s an absolutely clear signal to the aggressor: war has a price, and for the Kremlin, this price must rise every day\u2014at the front, in the rear, in the economy, logistics, and the military-industrial complex,&#8221; the fifth President states.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;At the same time, a technological advantage doesn&#8217;t last forever, because the enemy learns, adapts, rebuilds its defenses, looks for weaknesses, and tries to catch up. That&#8217;s why time is critical. The second factor is <strong>the situation on the front<\/strong> , where the Russian army, despite all the Kremlin propaganda, is stalling far more than Moscow is willing to admit. There&#8217;s a catastrophic shortage of manpower. The Kremlin is getting ever closer to declaring mobilization, which poses enormous internal risks for Putin. And we must act before Russia has the opportunity to once again flood the front with hundreds of thousands of mobilized troops, albeit poorly trained, cynically used as expendable material,&#8221; Poroshenko said.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;The third factor is <strong>the international political calendar<\/strong> . The United States is entering the midterm congressional elections, and we need to understand that Ukraine won&#8217;t be the only issue on the minds of American voters. If we want the Ukrainian issue to remain a focus not just as a problem, but as a strategic priority for the Free World, we need to act now,&#8221; Poroshenko explains.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;In the language Putin himself understands, it&#8217;s about <strong>forcing peace<\/strong> . And it&#8217;s crucial that the country heard words about the importance of peace from President Zelenskyy and his Chief of Staff today. Putin stops where he sees a wall he can&#8217;t breach. To achieve this, the coming months must be a time of maximum state concentration. We need to strengthen the front, not take 40 billion from the Armed Forces, increase weapons production, expand drones, electronic warfare, and long-range solutions, strengthen the wartime economy, and work with allies not as a supplicant, but as a state proposing a common security strategy for the entire continent,&#8221; he notes.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;It&#8217;s equally important to learn to communicate with each other within the country. Our team is ready to share its entire experience, all its international contacts, and all the opportunities it&#8217;s gained over decades of work in Ukrainian politics, diplomacy, and security. We are ready to work wherever Ukraine&#8217;s national interests require it. We are ready to strengthen the state&#8217;s negotiating position, help form an international coalition to pressure the aggressor, and do everything possible to ensure the world not only sympathizes with Ukraine but also acts in concert with it. If this requires a broad national coalition, we are ready to participate. If the question of a Government of National Unity arises, we are ready to shoulder the responsibility. Today is not the time for mutual exhaustion. <strong>Today is the time for a great Ukrainian gathering.<\/strong> For history doesn&#8217;t always open the door wide. Sometimes it only leaves a crack for a moment. But nations that want to live must manage to pass through it,&#8221; said Petro Poroshenko.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;I want Ukrainians to hear the most important thing: <strong>peace is possible<\/strong> . It&#8217;s not easy. It won&#8217;t be quick. It won&#8217;t be handed to us by others. But it is possible\u2014if we are strong on the front lines, precise in diplomacy, swift in technology, honest with society, and the only ones at the heart of the nation&#8217;s fate. Putin wants us to get used to the darkness.
