The Ukrainian Defense Forces confirmed the destruction of a number of important facilities on the territory of Russia and temporarily occupied territories on the night of Wednesday, June 3. These were strikes on oil, military, and defense infrastructure, some of which were accompanied by fires and explosions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is stated<\/a> in a message from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the operations are part of a systemic strategy of long-range destruction.<\/p>\n

“There are good results from our long-range sanctions… important facilities on Russian territory were hit tonight,” he said.<\/p>\n

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that among the targets hit were the St. Petersburg Oil Terminal in St. Petersburg, the Michurinsk Plant \u201cProgress\u201d in the Tambov Region, as well as facilities at the Saki airfield in occupied Crimea.<\/p>\n

According to the General Staff, a fire broke out at the oil terminal after the strike. Damage to infrastructure used for storing and transshipment of petroleum products has also been confirmed.<\/p>\n

Separately, a fire was reported at the Progress enterprise, which produces components for Russian aviation and missile technology.<\/p>\n

Damage was also recorded in the area of the port of Kronstadt. According to preliminary information, ships and port infrastructure facilities may have been damaged there.<\/p>\n

Additionally, official reports mention strikes on ammunition and fuel depots, as well as command posts in the occupied territories.<\/p>\n

Separately, the destruction of facilities during events related to the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is confirmed.<\/p>\n

Ukrainian entrepreneur, chief designer and owner of Fire Point company Denis Shtilerman stated that during this operation two ships were hit in the St. Petersburg area.<\/p>\n

“We really wanted to arrange an excursion for guests to the cruiser Moskva, but it didn’t work out – we had to cancel two other ships already at the event site,” he wrote.<\/p>\n

The General Staff emphasizes that all strikes are part of a systematic campaign to reduce Russia’s military-economic potential and complicate its logistics and defense production.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on the night of Wednesday, June 3, a number of Russian regions came under massive drone attacks. Reports of explosions came from St. Petersburg, Tambov Oblast, and Moscow.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, Ukraine is launching a large number of drones into Russian territory to break through Russian air defenses and strike targets behind enemy lines.<\/a>
