Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar<\/span><\/span> said his country is ready to host possible negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He said<\/a> this in an interview with Faz.<\/p>\n

According to Madyar, Hungary does not plan to supply weapons to Ukraine, as it believes that security guarantees should be provided by the international community and the world’s leading countries.<\/p>\n

“We can provide diplomatic and humanitarian assistance, and Hungary can also be a venue for negotiations,” he noted.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The head of the Hungarian government emphasized that Ukraine needs real international security guarantees, recalling the unfulfilled obligations under the Budapest Memorandum<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Madyar announced Budapest’s intention to establish good-neighborly relations with all countries in the region and reported on negotiations with Kyiv regarding the rights of the Hungarian national minority in Transcarpathia.<\/p>\n

According to him, the parties are conducting technical consultations and hope to reach agreements on the linguistic, educational, and cultural rights of Hungarians in Ukraine in the coming days.<\/p>\n

The prime minister also expressed hope that after these issues are resolved, a new chapter in bilateral relations could begin between Kyiv and Budapest.<\/p>\n

Also, US Presidential Special Representative Steve Witkoff stated<\/a> that new progress could emerge in negotiations between Ukraine and Russia in the near future.<\/p>\n
