Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy<\/span><\/span> stated that Ukraine expects to bring about a just and dignified peace in the summer and fall of 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

He said this during a joint press conference with NATO<\/span><\/span> Secretary General Mark Rutte<\/span><\/span> in Kyiv.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine continues to work within the framework of the PURL initiative, and partners have already made contributions in May and plan to continue their support in June.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The President also reported that he and NATO leadership discussed additional mechanisms that could provide Ukraine with long-term financial security guarantees.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“We will work at both the G7 summit and the NATO summit in Ankara,” the head of state noted.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Zelenskyy emphasized that increased support for Ukraine and security guarantees should serve as an additional incentive for Russia to move toward a diplomatic settlement.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“And we very much hope that over the summer and fall we will be able to truly bring peace closer \u2013 an honest and dignified peace,” the president said.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the war against<\/a> Ukraine could allegedly end “by the end of the day” if Kyiv agrees to Moscow’s demands and withdraw its troops from Russian-occupied territories.<\/p>\n
