No decisions have been made yet, and member states are only exchanging their proposals and views.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"322\" data-end=\"429\"> This was stated by Deputy Minister for Migration of Cyprus Nicholas Ioannides, Interfax-Ukraine reports.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"431\" data-end=\"548\"> According to him, several different approaches to the future mechanism for protecting Ukrainians in the EU are on the agenda.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"550\" data-end=\"746\"> &#8220;There are several ideas. We haven&#8217;t made a decision yet. That&#8217;s precisely why we&#8217;re holding these discussions\u2014to hear the member states&#8217; positions and understand the way forward,&#8221; Ioannides noted.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"748\" data-end=\"920\"> This is how he commented on the issue of the possible exclusion of men of military age from the list of persons who can benefit from the temporary protection regime in EU countries.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"922\" data-end=\"1140\"> Another topic for discussion is the possibility of applying a geographic approach to providing protection, similar to the model in place in Switzerland.
