The speed of the solar wind has begun to increase, and the geomagnetic situation has deteriorated sharply due to a series of strong flares on the Sun.<\/p>\n<p> Experts report that a powerful flare occurred from the central part of the solar disk, after which another one was recorded. This indicates an ongoing phase of increased solar activity. The plasma ejection was probably directed towards the Earth.<\/p>\n<p> According to forecasts by the British Geological Survey Geomagnetism, a prolonged magnetic storm was expected between June 3 and 6, with a peak on June 4 and 5, when the geostorm could reach the G4 level \u2014 one of the strongest on the scale.<\/p>\n<p> Currently, space weather monitoring services are recording an increase in geomagnetic activity indices, which are approaching the level of strong disturbances (up to ~6\u20137 points on the K-index).<\/p>\n<p> Experts remind that the G-index reflects the intensity of magnetic storms from G1 to G5, and the K-index from 0 to 9.
