According to him, verification of the results of the ship’s destruction is currently underway.<\/p>\n

“This is a third-rank ship, a fairly serious ship. The Coast Guard of the Russian FSB used it. And, of course, their task in this situation is, in particular, to protect the water area around the so-called Crimean Bridge. This water area has long been in our zone of attention, we also destroyed boats there, because the Kerch Strait is actually closed by Ukraine. Russian border guards are illegally there. Therefore, yes, this ship is important for the Russians to perform their tasks. In the event of its loss, they will be forced to look for other means of patrolling,” Pletenchuk noted.<\/p>\n

In particular, he added that the Russian Federation cannot leave this direction unprotected due to Ukraine’s successful attacks on facilities in the Crimean Bridge area.<\/p>\n

“They cannot afford to leave the bridge alone with us. We have already observed such precedents,” the Navy spokesman emphasized.<\/p>\n
