The court sentenced the former head of the Poltava District Court, Larisa Bogomolova<\/span><\/span> , to 15 years in prison after she was found guilty of collaborating with Russian intelligence services during the full-scale war.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Security Service of Ukraine reported<\/a> this.<\/p>\n

According to investigators, the woman was recruited by the FSB after the occupation of Berdyansk, where she was working as a judge in the city and district court at the time. After establishing contact with the Russian intelligence agency, the official agreed to cooperate with the occupiers.<\/p>\n

The case file notes that in March 2022, she transmitted information to the Russian side regarding the movement of three fighters from the Azov Special Forces Detachment<\/span><\/span> from Mariupol in the direction of Mangush.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the convicted woman recommended candidates to FSB representatives for the positions of so-called Gauleiter of Berdyansk and director of the seized city hospital. According to law enforcement, she also urged colleagues to support the occupation authorities and cooperate with Russia.<\/p>\n

In the summer of 2022, Bogomolova moved to Ukrainian-controlled territory and subsequently became the head of the Poltava District Court. In April 2023, SBU officers detained her right in her office.<\/p>\n

On April 27, 2023, she was charged with treason, and on May 5 of that year , the High Council of Justice<\/span><\/span> approved her arrest.<\/p>\n

Based on the evidence collected, the court found the former official guilty under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine \u2013 treason committed under martial law.<\/p>\n
