The changes also include automatic transfers between units and simplified return of servicemen who voluntarily left the service.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

New contracts with clear service terms

The Ministry of Defense introduces three types of contracts: infantry assault, combat, and basic.

The infantry assault contract is designed for infantrymen, assault troops, combat medics, gunners, driver mechanics and other front-line specialists. The terms of service depend on the status of the serviceman:

14 months for civilians;

10 months – for active military personnel;

6 months or more – for military personnel discharged from service during a special period.

The combat contract is intended for pilots of unmanned aerial vehicles, operators of ground robotic complexes, electronic warfare specialists, gunners, etc. The term of service is 24 months.

The basic contract is provided for positions outside combat units. It is also concluded for 24 months.

Increased payments

The average salary of an infantryman under the new contract will be 300,000 hryvnias per month , the maximum – 460,000 hryvnias . Payments consist of a base rate of 20,000 hryvnias and additional bonuses according to the “10/20/40” principle :

10,000 hryvnias per day — for performing tasks directly at combat positions at the platoon strongpoint level;

20,000 hryvnias per day — for strike and search operations: destruction of small enemy groups, reconnaissance, evacuation and return to positions;

40,000 hryvnias per day — for assault actions with forward movement.

Under a combat contract, payments range from 30,000 to 120,000 hryvnias per month, depending on proximity to the front line. The basic contract also guarantees at least 30,000 hryvnias per month , with the possibility of receiving up to 120,000 hryvnias for participation in combat operations.

Additionally, one-time payments are provided : 100,000 hryvnias for each captured enemy, 15,000 hryvnias for each destroyed enemy in contact or shooting combat. Servicemen who sign a contract for the first time will receive a payment of 27,000 to 33,000 hryvnias, depending on their rank. A once-a-year payment for rehabilitation of 20,000 hryvnias is also provided.

Post-contract deferrals

After the contract ends, servicemen receive a guaranteed basic deferment of 6 months. The further duration of the deferment is calculated according to the principle “the longer you fought, the longer the deferment.”

For 6, 10 and 14 month contracts:

plus 3 months – for each month of combat missions;

plus 6 months for each year of service from 2022 until the signing of a new contract;

plus 1 month for each year of service until 2022.

For example, a civilian who signed a contract for 14 months and spent 10 of them in combat positions will be entitled to a three-year deferment.

For 24-month contracts: plus 1 day of deferment for each day of combat missions and plus 1 month for each year of service until 2022.

Automatic transfer between units via “Army+”

The new system allows servicemen to transfer between units once a year within the operational subordination of one corps through the “Army+” application.

The mechanism can be used by military personnel who simultaneously meet all the conditions:

have the rank of senior sergeant inclusive;

do not hold officer positions;

serve in a military unit that is part of the corps or temporarily subordinate to it;

A unit within the same sector of responsibility of the same corps is selected for transfer.

The functionality will be operational within a week. Initially, a beta test will be conducted in individual corps, after which the system will be scaled to the entire Defense Forces.

Simplified return from the SZCH

Servicemen who have been recorded as having abandoned their unit before June 11, 2026, will be given 100 days to voluntarily return to service under a simplified procedure. The mechanism will come into effect from the moment the relevant resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine comes into force.

At the first stage, servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Special Transport Service of Ukraine will be able to return. The National Guard will join the mechanism later.

For the return, you can choose one of 55 units – the most effective according to the Delta ePoints rating. The report is submitted:

through the “Army+” application;

to the 1st or 2nd Recruiting Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;

directly to the selected part.

Verification of reports is carried out digitally and lasts no more than 7 calendar days. Monetary and material support are restored on the day of enrollment in a new unit, food – on the day of arrival. Within 6 months after enrollment, a serviceman cannot be transferred without his written consent.

Those who do not take advantage of the simplified procedure will be able to return under the old scheme – through reserve battalions, courts, and a long wait for the resumption of payments.

As is known, large-scale changes are being prepared in Ukraine for military personnel .
