On the night of June 15, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Kyiv using ballistic missiles and drones. The shelling killed 4 people and injured at least 23, including a child.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko<\/a> and Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Timur Tkachenko<\/a> .<\/p>\n

Air defense forces were on duty in the capital during the attack. Explosions were heard in various areas of the city, and the air alert was accompanied by threats of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones.<\/p>\n

According to Vitaliy Klitschko, damage and fires were recorded in almost all districts of Kyiv<\/strong> as a result of the attack. Emergency services worked at approximately 50 locations.<\/p>\n

A fire broke out in a kindergarten in the Desnyanskyi<\/strong> district.<\/p>\n

In the Darnytsia<\/strong> district, debris fell in open areas. Damage to residential buildings was also reported.<\/p>\n

Separately, a fire was recorded on the territory of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. According to the mayor, the roof of the Assumption Cathedral caught fire.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the State Emergency Service added that a fire broke out on the roof of the Assumption Cathedral on the territory of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, covering an area of about 800 sq. m. In addition, a fire broke out in the building of the National Cultural, Art and Museum Complex “Art Arsenal” covering an area of 1,000 sq. m. <\/p>\n

“Unfortunately, the number of deaths has increased to four people,” Timur Tkachenko said.<\/p>\n
