The SBU has detained a woman who helped the Russians gather information about the work of Ukrainian air defense during the attacks on Kyiv. According to the investigation, she was involved in the massive shelling of the capital on May 24 and was preparing new attacks.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the FSB agent turned out to be an unemployed resident of Chornomorsk in the Odessa region. The Russians found her through a Telegram channel with offers of quick money.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

To fulfill the curators’ task, the woman came to the Kyiv region under the pretext of vacation. She checked into a hotel on the shore of the Kyiv Sea and chose a room with a view of the reservoir.<\/p>\n

In the room, the agent installed a phone with a camera near the window. Russian special services received access to the broadcast in real time. In this way, the occupiers tried to monitor the work of Ukrainian air defense during air attacks on the capital.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The SBU explains that the Russians were interested in the positions of anti-aircraft systems and mobile fire groups. They could use the coordinates obtained for new strikes.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

After the massive attack on Kyiv on May 24, the woman did not contact her supervisors for some time. Later, she received a new assignment and began setting up another observation post.<\/p>\n

It was at this moment that she was detained by SBU officers.<\/p>\n

During the searches, law enforcement officers seized two mobile phones, a laptop, and recordings that, according to investigators, confirm cooperation with Russian special services.<\/p>\n

The woman has already been charged with treason under martial law. She is currently in custody. If convicted, she faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.<\/p>\n

As previously reported, the Security Service of Ukraine detained a man suspected of assisting Russian special services in preparing a massive attack on the Dnieper on the night of June 2.<\/a><\/p>\n

As a reminder,law enforcement officers of the National Police exposed and detained a Russian agent<\/a> who was preparing to assassinate an official of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The perpetrator is currently detained and is in custody. <\/p>\n
