Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi held a meeting on the state and readiness of the Ukrainian army reserves. During the meeting, they discussed strengthening the defense of the state border, the recovery of units after combat missions, and the development of unmanned systems.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is evidenced by<\/a> the corresponding message of the commander-in-chief.<\/p>\n

According to Syrsky, special attention was paid to the northern direction, where a decision was made to form new units of unmanned systems.<\/p>\n

“To increase the effectiveness of border protection, a decision has been made to form new units of unmanned systems. They will be provided with the necessary weapons, equipment, and other means to perform specific tasks,” the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.<\/p>\n

He noted that Ukraine also continues to strengthen units that are already performing tasks in this direction.
Separately, the meeting considered the issue of restoring the combat capability of military units after completing combat missions and providing them with the necessary equipment and weapons.<\/p>\n

“Providing units with everything they need remains one of our key priorities,” Syrsky emphasized.<\/p>\n

The Commander-in-Chief also focused on the development of the sergeant corps. According to him, it is sergeants who play an important role in the combat capability of units and are an important link between servicemen and commanders.<\/p>\n

“Future commanders should grow primarily from among soldiers who have proven their effectiveness in battle, have leadership qualities, authority among their comrades, and are highly motivated to serve,” he noted.<\/p>\n

In addition, the meeting discussed the status of territorial defense brigades. The Armed Forces of Ukraine plan to scale up the unmanned component in their composition, which should strengthen the units’ capabilities in reconnaissance, defeating the enemy, and protecting designated areas.<\/p>\n

“We continue to consistently strengthen the Armed Forces of Ukraine, increase the capabilities of reserves, and prepare troops to perform tasks in any development of the situation,” Oleksandr Syrskyi concluded.<\/p>\n
