Russia may use videos created by artificial intelligence to convince audiences of its alleged successes near Kostyantynivka in the Donetsk region.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Analysts drew attention to the video that Russian resources published on June 15. The footage shows Russian military personnel displaying their flags in areas near Konstantinovka and in the village of Dovga Balka. At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the alleged capture of the settlement.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

ISW suggests that some of these videos may have been created or altered using artificial intelligence. According to analysts, the Kremlin is thus trying to create the impression of great successes on the front, although the real situation looks much more complicated.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The commander of the 19th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Bakulin, also stated that the Russians are conducting a separate information campaign around Kostyantynivka.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to him, the Russian command has already reported on the alleged capture of the city, and is now trying to support these statements with at least some evidence. That is why, Bakulin believes, similar videos with Russian flags are appearing.<\/p>\n

He added that the servicemen who were caught on these footage were attacked by the Ukrainian Defense Forces after filming.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the Ukrainian military does not confirm the claims of Russian control over Konstantinovka. According to Bakulin, separate Russian sabotage groups may be operating in the city, but the figures announced by Moscow are significantly exaggerated.<\/p>\n

ISW reminds that Russia has already conducted similar information campaigns around Pokrovsk and Chasovye Yar. At that time, the occupiers also regularly announced the imminent capture of the cities, but these predictions did not come true.<\/p>\n

Analysts do not rule out that Russian troops may achieve some tactical successes near Kostyantynivka in the summer. At the same time, they do not believe in a quick breakthrough of Ukrainian defenses or the capture of the entire so-called belt of fortresses in the Donetsk region.<\/p>\n

According to experts, the Kremlin needs the informational noise around Kostyantynivka not only for its internal audience. In this way, Russia is trying to convince Ukraine’s Western partners that its positions on the front are stronger than they actually are, and to persuade them to make political concessions.<\/p>\n

By the way, over the past 24 hours, the Russian army lost 1,440 servicemen killed and wounded on the front in Ukraine<\/a> .<\/p>\n

Recall that Russia is starting to lose its main advantage in the war against Ukraine<\/a> – its numerical superiority in personnel. Analysts note a slowdown in the rate of recruitment of new military personnel and growing problems with replenishing the army.<\/p>\n
