The number of citizens in Ukraine who expect a reset of power after the end of the war has increased. Ukrainians most want changes in the Verkhovna Rada, but a significant part also supports a change of president.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is evidenced by<\/a> the results of a survey by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).<\/p>\n

Sociologists asked Ukrainians whether, after the end of the war, it is necessary to change the central government \u2014 the president, the government, or the parliament \u2014 to restore the country.<\/p>\n

According to the study, 63% of respondents chose the option that all government representatives should be replaced. Another 20% separately indicated the need to change the Verkhovna Rada.<\/p>\n

As a result, a total of 83% of respondents said they would like to see a replacement for parliament after the war.<\/p>\n

Regarding other government bodies, the figures have also increased. 67% of Ukrainians support replacing the president after the war ends, and 74% expect changes in the government.<\/p>\n

“If three years ago 73% expected a reboot of the central government at least at one level, now the figure has increased to 88%,” KIIS noted.<\/p>\n

According to sociologists, the indicator regarding the head of state has changed the most. Three years ago, 23% of respondents wanted to replace the president after the war, and now 67%. <\/p>\n

At the same time, KIIS emphasized that previous research shows that the majority of Ukrainians do not support holding elections before the end of hostilities.<\/p>\n

The survey was conducted from May 7 to June 3, 2026. 1,000 respondents participated in it.<\/p>\n
