On Thursday, June 18, a second-round match of the WTA 500 tournament in Berlin will take place. Ukraine’s top seed, Elina Svitolina (WTA 8), will face Germany’s Eva Lys (WTA 80).<\/strong><\/p>\n

The match will start at 13:30 Kyiv time.<\/p>\n

Elina Svitolina is considered the favorite in this match, and not only because of her higher ranking. The Ukrainian tennis player is enjoying a strong and consistent season, having already won two tournaments \u2013 in Auckland and Rome.<\/p>\n

Eva Lis was born in Kyiv but moved to Germany as a child. This season, she played only 14 matches due to a knee injury.<\/p>\n

These tennis players had previously met at a clay-court tournament in Stuttgart. Elina Svitolina won that match decisively, 6-1, 6-0.<\/p>\n

Bookmakers predict Elina will be the stronger this time around. As a reminder, in her previous match, Svitolina defeated Anna Kalinska, a neutral player<\/strong><\/a>, after the latter withdrew.<\/p>\n

The Svitolina-Lys<\/strong> match will be broadcast in Ukraine by Setanta Sports<\/strong>, as well as the OTT platform Setanta Sports Premium<\/strong>, Kyivstar TV.<\/strong><\/p>\n
