According to the Ukrainian side, it is through this facility that the Russians transport fuel oil, liquefied gas, and other oil products across the Kerch Strait.

ISW emphasizes that this oil depot is located less than a kilometer from the Kerch Bridge and plays an important role in the operation of the ferry crossing between occupied Crimea and Russian territory.

In addition, Russian air defense assets were also hit. The Ukrainian military announced the destruction of four S-400 radar stations, two Pantsir complexes, and other radar systems near Kerch.

According to analysts, these strikes have already begun to affect Russian logistics.

After the attacks, the occupying authorities of Crimea restricted fuel sales. In Sevastopol, they reduced public transport, introduced an austerity regime, restricted the work of large retail chains, and partially suspended ferry services.

Russia also temporarily suspended part of the Kerch ferry crossing and advised trucks to use an alternative route through occupied Mariupol, Melitopol, and Simferopol.

ISW believes that such steps indicate growing problems with supplying Russian troops.

Analysts concluded that the current strikes are part of Ukraine’s strategy to deny Russia the ability to use occupied Crimea as a major military hub for waging war.

As is known,on the night of June 21, the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked the port of Kerch in temporarily occupied Crimea , as well as the port of Kavkaz in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation, as a result of which severe fires broke out there.

Later, it became known that a number of temporary restrictions were introduced in occupied Sevastopol , including the suspension of fuel sales to the population, the cancellation of mass events, and changes to transport operations. The occupation authorities also warned of possible temporary power outages due to overloading of power grids.

By the way, on June 18,drones attacked a number of facilities in Russia . Moscow, Rostov and Belgorod regions were hit. After the attacks, fires broke out at several facilities.

Also follow “Pryamim” on Facebook , X , Telegram , and Instagram.

Ukraine is consistently striking targets in the Kerch Strait area to make it difficult for Russia to supply fuel, transfer troops, and support the occupation army in Crimea and southern Ukraine.
