Ukraine has signed a contract with Germany to supply 600 missiles for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems. At the same time, Kyiv received for the first time a positive signal from the administration of US President Donald Trump regarding the possible granting of licenses for the production of anti-ballistic missiles.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in an interview<\/a> with TSN.<\/p>\n

According to the president, Germany has already begun producing Patriot interceptor missiles after receiving the relevant licenses from the U.S. It is within the framework of this production that Ukraine signed a contract for 600 missiles.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Zelenskyy noted that quick deliveries should not be expected, as the production of such ammunition takes a long time.<\/p>\n

The President also stated that Ukraine has the necessary production capabilities, together with European partners, to manufacture Patriot missiles independently. However, permission from the American side is required to launch such production.<\/p>\n

According to Zelensky, most participants in this process already support the relevant decision, and final approval depends on US President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

“We have reached the point where we now need an OK from Trump personally. Everyone else agrees,” the head of state said.<\/p>\n

The President also recalled that the United States produces about 700 interceptor missiles for Patriot complexes every year, and the transfer of licenses to Germany has already allowed their production to begin in Europe.<\/p>\n

As previously reported, at the next meeting in the Ramstein format, Ukraine received new packages of military assistance,<\/a> and the partners agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of air defense and weapons production.<\/p>\n

Recall that Ukraine may receive a license to produce missiles for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems.<\/a><\/p>\n
