On the night of Wednesday, June 24, Ukrainian forces struck two important Russian industrial facilities in the Orenburg region. These are the Orenburg Gas Processing Plant and the Orenburg Helium Plant.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the General Staff.<\/p>\n

“Deep Strike units of the Special Operations Forces, in cooperation with the underground movement “Chernaya Iskra”, struck the Orenburg Gas Processing Plant and the Orenburg Helium Plant in Russia,” the SSO said.<\/p>\n

According to the military, a fire was recorded on the territory of the enterprises. The extent of the damage is currently being determined.<\/p>\n

The Orenburg Gas Processing Plant is one of the largest gas processing complexes in the Russian Federation. The enterprise is engaged in gas purification and preparation, and its capacity is up to 45 billion cubic meters per year.<\/p>\n

The Orenburg Helium Plant is one of the key producers of helium in Russia. The gas is used in high-tech industries, including the military and rocketry sectors.<\/p>\n

The SSO noted that these facilities are located at a considerable distance from the front line. The distance to them exceeds 1,200 kilometers.<\/p>\n

“Special operations forces continue to inflict strategic damage on Russia in order to stop its aggression,” the military stressed.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, the SBU’s Alpha Special Operations Forces struck at the air defense systems of Russian troops in the Kerch Strait area, as well as at the infrastructure of the Saki and Gvardiyske military airfields in temporarily occupied Crimea<\/a> .<\/p>\n

As reported, the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert “Magyar” Brovdy, confirmed the destruction of the main electrical substation of Sevastopol, temporarily occupied by the Russians.<\/a><\/p>\n
