At the Alliance summit, which will be held on July 7-8 in Ankara, the allies may agree on new defense contracts, increased weapons production and continued military assistance to Kyiv.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"> POLITICO <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.eu\/article\/nato-allies-arms-contracts-weapon-production-ankara-summit\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reports<\/a> this, citing five NATO diplomats.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"> According to the publication&#8217;s sources, one of the main issues at the summit will be increasing the pace of weapons production. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte wants the Alliance countries to increase the production of weapons and ammunition more quickly.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"> The allies also plan to reaffirm their continued support for Ukraine. According to sources, the draft declaration mentions military assistance of 70 billion euros, as well as the intention to maintain approximately the same amount of support next year.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"> At the same time, as POLITICO notes, the United States may not participate in financing this package.
