The expansion of military infrastructure under Russian influence is observed on the territory of Belarus, but currently there is no concentration of troops near the border with Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> “Ukrainska Pravda” with reference to the comment of the spokesman for the State Border Service of Ukraine, Colonel Andriy Demchenko, on the air of a national telethon.<\/p>\n

“Fortunately, there is no increase in the strike force or reinforcement of military units and equipment, as well as personnel, in the immediate vicinity of our border. At the same time, as we see and according to intelligence data, Russia’s influence on Belarus continues, because deep into the country’s territory, various military infrastructure facilities are being built up – training grounds and bases where personnel can be stationed,” Demchenko noted.<\/p>\n

He added that Ukraine’s task is to strengthen its defense capabilities and be ready for the development of any scenarios.<\/p>\n

According to him, the units that have been in Belarus since 2022 are still located near the Ukrainian border.<\/p>\n

He recalled that at that time Alexander Lukashenko explained the deployment of troops by the alleged need to respond to the “threat from Ukraine.”<\/p>\n

The number of these units has not decreased, and rotation occurs periodically, which is recorded by Ukrainian border guards.<\/p>\n

“At this very moment, one unit is being replaced by another,” the officer added.<\/p>\n

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Belarus,<\/a> under the influence of Russia, continues to build military infrastructure near the Ukrainian border. According to him, Minsk has already received a signal from Ukraine about the need to stop such actions.<\/p>\n

Belarus also announced its readiness to allow Ukrainians to visit border forests to pick mushrooms and berries<\/a> . At the same time, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine emphasizes that the border with Belarus remains dangerous, and no changes are planned in the regime of its crossing.<\/p>\n
