In Vinnytsia, three children were injured after an object resembling a fuse they found in a garage exploded. Two 10-year-old boys are already home, while an 11-year-old boy continues to be treated in hospital.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the State Emergency Service<\/a> and the police<\/a> of Vinnytsia region.<\/p>\n

According to preliminary information, on June 26, at around 6:00 p.m., three children, ages 10 and 11, were playing in a garage used by the grandfather of one of them. There, they discovered an object that looked like a match.<\/p>\n

One of the 10-year-old boys ran outside, while the other two stayed in the garage. While playing, the object detonated, injuring the children. All three were hospitalized.<\/p>\n

As of 09:30 on June 27, two 10-year-old boys were released home after being examined by doctors. An 11-year-old boy from Vinnytsia remains in a medical facility.<\/p>\n

At the scene, law enforcement officers seized fragments of an explosive device, as well as another object resembling a fuse. Its origin and purpose of storage are being determined by investigators.<\/p>\n

A pre-trial investigation is currently underway under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine \u2014 illegal handling of weapons, ammunition, or explosives.<\/p>\n

The State Emergency Service once again called on citizens to follow mine safety rules and not touch unknown objects, and if they are discovered, to report the find by calling 101 or 112.<\/p>\n
