In a number of regions, hours-long queues have appeared at gas stations, and in occupied Crimea, fuel is sold using special QR codes.

This is reported by Russian media.

According to journalists, due to the reduction or temporary shutdown of some Russian oil refineries in the country, there have been interruptions in the supply of gasoline, restrictions on its sale, and hours-long queues at gas stations.

The media analyzed the situation using indirect indicators, in particular, the interest of Russians in the topic of gasoline shortages on the Internet. The level of search queries has increased to the highest levels since at least 2019.

The fuel crisis has affected the following the most:

Ulyanovsk region;

Ivanovo region;

Saratov region;

Ryazan region;

Vladimir region;

Republic of Mordovia;

Stavropol Territory;

temporarily occupied Crimea.

In these regions, the number of search queries with the word “gasoline” has increased 10-20 times over the past week compared to the same period last year.

Videos of long lines at gas stations are also being shared on social media. In particular, residents of the Irkutsk region and Transbaikalia are reporting fuel shortages. According to them, the lack of gasoline has put the tourist season on Lake Baikal at risk, as the road to the resort is accompanied by hours of waiting at gas stations.

Irkutsk Mayor Ruslan Bolotov ordered the installation of dry toilets along the roads to reduce inconvenience for drivers who have to wait in lines for long periods of time.

In temporarily occupied Sevastopol, authorities announced the resumption of gasoline and diesel fuel sales on June 27. However, only drivers who received a special QR code via the state-owned messenger Max can refuel. In addition, the restriction of no more than 20 liters of fuel per car remains in effect.

Journalists note that due to the shortage, residents of occupied Crimea continue to look for fuel outside the peninsula. Permission to transport up to 200 liters of gasoline across the Crimean Bridge has exacerbated the situation in Krasnodar Krai, where conflicts between local residents and drivers from occupied Crimea are increasingly occurring due to the lack of fuel.

By the way, Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian oil refineries are increasingly hitting the Russian fuel industry . Gasoline production has noticeably decreased, and fuel problems are already affecting regions located thousands of kilometers from Ukraine.

Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the results of strikes by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on military facilities of the Russian aggressor on June 18 and on the night of June 19, 2026. Among the targets hit were railway bridges in the temporarily occupied Crimea, military infrastructure, and the Moscow Oil Refinery.

As reported, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck two fuel facilities in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation on the night of June 18. After the attack, fires broke out at the oil depot and the fuel and lubricants depot.

Also follow “Pryamim” on Facebook , X , Telegram , and Instagram.

Russia is facing an ongoing fuel crisis, which has worsened amid Ukrainian attacks on oil refining infrastructure.
