The Chinese government has publicly called on Ukraine and Russia to resume the negotiation process. Beijing has also expressed its view on this process.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is known that the Deputy Permanent Representative of the People’s Republic of China to the UN, Sun Lei, called for peace. His statement was made during a meeting of the Security Council.<\/p>\n

In addition, the diplomat emphasized that the Chinese authorities, led by Xi Jinping, insist on an immediate cessation of hostilities.<\/p>\n

Beijing emphasizes that only after this can negotiations be resumed.<\/p>\n

Therefore, Sun Lei called on Kyiv and Moscow to demonstrate political will. He added that the search for ways to a peaceful settlement should begin immediately.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Chinese diplomat mentioned that the civilian population of Ukraine is suffering from the fighting.<\/p>\n

Lei assured that “this problem is really worrying Beijing.”<\/p>\n

In particular, China still does not officially recognize that it is an ally of the Russian Federation in the war against Ukraine and continues to declare “neutrality.”<\/p>\n

At the same time, Western media and governments emphasize that Beijing provides Moscow with significant indirect support: economic, financial, and diplomatic.<\/p>\n

In addition, Moscow regularly receives dual-use goods from China: microelectronics, machine tools, optical equipment, drones and their components, as well as communications equipment. All of this is actively used by the aggressor country to support its military-industrial complex.<\/p>\n
