The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets responded to information about the mobilization of a 34-year-old single father from Kryvyi Rih, who was raising a five-year-old daughter on his own. The regional representative of the Ombudsman has already sent official requests to the territorial recruitment center and local authorities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the ombudsman, at the time of the husband’s mobilization, his five-year-old daughter was in kindergarten and was effectively left without the only parent who cared for her.<\/p>\n

Lubinets noted that, according to available information, the man twice applied for a deferment from mobilization, but was refused.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“I have already instructed my representative in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Oleksiy Urlatkin, to urgently clarify all the circumstances of this situation. The regional team has already sent official requests to the Pokrovsko-Ternivskyi district CCC and SP, the children’s service of the executive committee of the Kryvyi Rih city council, as well as the executive committees of the Ternivska and Pokrovska district councils in the city,” the ombudsman said.<\/p>\n

According to him, it is necessary to verify the legality of the husband’s mobilization, as well as to find out under what circumstances the child was left without parental care and what actions the authorities took to ensure her rights and safety.<\/p>\n

Lubinets emphasized that when making such decisions, the state must take into account not only the requirements of mobilization, but also human rights and the interests of children. <\/p>\n
