64% of Ukrainians are dissatisfied with how democracy functions in the country, while 33% of citizens evaluate it positively.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is stated<\/a> in the results of a sociological study by the Rating Group.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to sociologists, the most frequent dissatisfaction with the state of democracy is expressed by opponents of Ukraine’s accession to the European Union. Among them, 82% assess the situation negatively, while among supporters of European integration, 57% do so.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The study also showed that 53% of Ukrainians disagree that fundamental rights, democracy, and the rule of law are adequately protected in the country. At the same time, 44% of respondents believe that these values are protected.<\/p>\n

Among supporters of EU accession, opinions are almost evenly divided: 50% believe that European values are protected in Ukraine, while 48% hold the opposite opinion. In contrast, among opponents of EU accession, 75% are convinced that such values are not protected in Ukraine. <\/p>\n

In addition, more than half of Ukrainians express concern about the state of freedom of speech, media independence, and the spread of disinformation.<\/p>\n

Thus, 56% of those surveyed said they were concerned about the independence of the media, 59% about the problem of disinformation, and another 59% about the situation with freedom of speech.<\/p>\n

The survey was conducted in March, April, and June 2026 using telephone interviews. Residents of all regions of Ukraine under the control of the Ukrainian authorities participated in it.<\/p>\n
