The State Budget of Ukraine received almost 600 million US dollars to finance social payments to the most vulnerable categories of citizens.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced<\/a> by Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Ukraine received funds under the SPIRIT project, a joint project with the World Bank, after the government fulfilled all necessary conditions for financing.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The total amount of the new tranche is $598.75 million. Of this, $300 million was provided with the support of Japanese guarantees, and another $298.75 million was provided with the support of bilateral guarantees from the UK government. The total budget of the SPIRIT project reaches $880 million.<\/p>\n

According to Svyrydenko, the project will cover more than a million Ukrainians who need state support.<\/p>\n

The funds received will be used to finance 18 types of social benefits. In particular, this includes assistance to families with children, children with serious illnesses, orphans raised in family-type orphanages and foster families, people with disabilities, large families, as well as payment for the “municipal nanny” service, assistance for caring for a child up to one year old, the “e-Nursery” program, and other social programs financed by the state budget and not related to military needs.<\/p>\n
