Petro Poroshenko called for maintaining unity in issues of supporting the Ukrainian military, developing the defense industry, and providing the Armed Forces with the necessary weapons. According to him, a strong army is the main condition for achieving a just peace.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The fifth President of Ukraine wrote<\/a> about this on social networks.<\/p>\n

“We must stop the war through a comprehensive and immediate ceasefire. This means forcing Putin to make peace. To do this, we need strong Armed Forces, reliable international partners, and a modern technological defense industry,” Poroshenko emphasized.<\/p>\n

He also reported that a month ago, the European Solidarity team appealed to Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov with proposals to support Ukrainian weapons manufacturers. In particular, it is about introducing a transparent mechanism for exporting products that are not purchased for the needs of the Ukrainian army.<\/p>\n

According to Poroshenko, this issue was also discussed with representatives of the defense industry during the international exhibition “Eurosatory 2026”, because the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex has already become an important component of the country’s economy.<\/p>\n

Separately, the fifth President welcomed the decision to increase the financial support of the Ukrainian military.<\/p>\n

“For June, the Ukrainian soldier will receive more. This is a debt that the state has finally begun to repay to those who defend the country every day. But this increase is not what we demanded, so we will continue to defend justice,” he noted.<\/p>\n

Poroshenko emphasized that issues of supporting the Ukrainian military, developing the defense industry, and providing the Armed Forces of Ukraine should remain outside of political disputes.<\/p>\n

“When it comes to the Ukrainian military, weapons, and defense industry, we must remain united. Our common duty is to arm and equip the Armed Forces,” he concluded. <\/p>\n
