The Vostok Group of Forces stated that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s claims of the complete capture of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region are false. Ukrainian military officials emphasize that the city remains under the control of the Defense Forces, and fighting continues.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Voskhod military group reported this on Facebook.<\/p>\n

The military called the Kremlin’s statement another attempt by the Russian leadership to create the illusion of success at the front and conceal the failures of its offensive operations.<\/p>\n

“This is yet another example of lies and an attempt by the Russian leadership to openly ‘paint’ some sort of success and justify the failure of its operational-strategic plans and the disproportionately large losses of Russian army personnel,” the group noted.<\/p>\n

According to military officials, Kostiantynivka is under the control of Ukrainian defense forces. Intense fighting continues in several areas of the city, and attempts by Russian troops to infiltrate the town are quickly detected and stopped.<\/p>\n

Ukrainian defenders reported that they were inflicting fire damage on logistics routes and concentration sites of occupation forces.<\/p>\n

“Russian attempts to infiltrate the city have been thwarted, the occupiers are being eliminated, and firepower is being inflicted on the invaders’ logistics routes and manpower concentrations. The defense of Konstantinovka continues!” the Vostok group noted.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on July 3, Vladimir Putin announced the alleged complete capture of Konstantinovka by Russian troops. However, as the BBC noted, Kremlin representatives provided no objective evidence for this claim.<\/p>\n
