By early July, Ukrainian defense forces had disabled 42.74% of the Russian oil refining industry’s total design capacity. In June alone, Ukrainian forces successfully attacked eight oil refineries.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.<\/p>\n

According to the military, large-scale strikes on Russia’s oil refining infrastructure have led to record downtime in the industry.<\/p>\n

“Record downtime: 42.74% of Russia’s total oil refining capacity has been disabled as a result of the attacks. Eight oil refineries have been successfully attacked over the past month,” the General Staff noted.<\/p>\n

It is also reported that for the economic year from August 2025, the total damage to the Russian oil industry reached $13.5 billion.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed or critically damaged more than 60 oil and petroleum product storage tanks. Of these, 58% were used to store petroleum products, and another 42% were used to store crude oil.<\/p>\n

The General Staff emphasized that the consequences of these strikes included a fuel crisis in Russia, reduced production, and delays in repairs to damaged facilities due to the inability to obtain necessary spare parts and equipment.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense noted that during June, \u201cthere were almost no days when any Russian city did not see the consequences of its aggression.\u201d<\/p>\n

Incidentally, Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian oil refineries are increasingly impacting the Russian fuel industry<\/a> . Gasoline production has significantly declined, and fuel shortages are already affecting regions located thousands of kilometers from Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the results of strikes by the Ukrainian Defense Forces against Russian military installations on June 18 and the night of June 19, 2026.<\/a> Among the targets hit were railway bridges in temporarily occupied Crimea, military infrastructure, and the Moscow Oil Refinery.<\/p>\n

As reported, Ukrainian Special Operations Forces struck two fuel facilities in Russia’s Rostov Oblast<\/a> on the night of June 18. Following the attack, fires broke out at the oil depot and fuel and lubricants depot.<\/p>\n
