Ukraine has significantly shortened the cycle of weapons development and improvement by testing new models directly at the front. NATO said that this approach has become an important lesson for Western armies and defense industries.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Journalists note that the Ukrainian defense industry has gained the opportunity to quickly test new weapons in combat conditions, receive feedback from the military, and make the necessary changes within a few days or weeks. This approach allows for rapid adaptation of weapons to changes on the battlefield.<\/p>\n

The Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe, Sir John Stringer, stated that it is precisely this speed of innovation that Western countries currently lack.<\/p>\n

“Ukraine measures the cycle of adapting new technologies not in years, but in weeks,” he said.<\/p>\n

According to the publication, Ukrainian drone manufacturer Frontline Robotics makes up to 20 changes to its products every month thanks to constant feedback from the military. The company notes that it can start working on new requests almost immediately after receiving them, and deliver the updated version of the product to the military within a week.<\/p>\n

Ark Robotics uses a similar approach. Its specialists regularly work directly near the front lines to test new solutions and receive feedback from the military, which allows them to maintain a rapid product modernization cycle.<\/p>\n

Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council David Aloyan emphasized that in modern warfare, speed has become one of the determining factors for success. According to him, if a new weapon arrives at the front a few months after the start of development, it may no longer meet the current conditions of combat operations.<\/p>\n

NATO Assistant Secretary General for Innovation Tarja Jaakola also noted that Ukrainian companies are able to receive feedback from the military and offer updated solutions within a few weeks. The Bundeswehr, as journalists write, also considers the speed of military innovation to be one of the key factors in modern warfare.<\/p>\n

By the way, American drone manufacturer Powerus has started cooperation with Ukrainian company Swarmer<\/a> , which created software for controlling a swarm of FPV drones. This technology could help the company gain an advantage in the Pentagon’s competition for the supply of strike drones.<\/p>\n
