Russia has announced its readiness to temporarily cease hostilities in the Kostyantynivka area of Donetsk Oblast to allow the transfer of the bodies of fallen servicemen. At the same time, the Russian side’s statements are accompanied by conflicting reports regarding the situation around the city.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced its intention to introduce a so-called “humanitarian ceasefire” in the Kostyantynivka area from 12:00 to 18:00 Moscow time on July 6, 2026. According to the Russian side, they plan to use this time to transfer the bodies of deceased Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen who are allegedly in the city.<\/p>\n

The Russian Defense Ministry stated that Ukraine must notify its decision through special service channels by 12:00 on July 5. This initiative was called a “humanitarian action” in Moscow.<\/p>\n

At the same time, contradictory statements were heard in the Russian information space regarding the situation in Konstantinovka. Earlier, Russian journalists reported on the alleged complete capture of the city, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov reported on the establishment of control over it. Russian dictator Vladimir Putin also called this an “important stage” in advancing towards the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk defense hub.<\/p>\n

However, on July 4, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the continuation of hostilities in the Kostyantynivka area, which contradicts previous reports of alleged complete control over the city.<\/p>\n

For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called Russia’s statements about control over Kostyantynivka unreliable and noted that they do not correspond to the real situation. The Ukrainian side has also repeatedly emphasized that the reports of Russian structures about the situation on the front need to be verified, as they often contain contradictory or propagandistic statements.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the Vostok group of forces stated that the information of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin about the alleged complete capture of Konstantinovka, Donetsk region, is not true<\/a> . The Ukrainian military emphasizes that the city remains under the control of the Defense Forces, and the fighting continues.<\/p>\n

By the way, the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) stated thatthe Kremlin’s announcement of the alleged complete capture of Konstantinovka is part of an information campaign<\/a> . Analysts emphasize that the real situation on the battlefield does not confirm the Russian statements.<\/p>\n

We remind you that the Russian army continues its offensive in the Donetsk region and is trying to reach Kostyantynivka, butthe Kremlin’s statements about significant successes on this section of the front do not correspond to the real situation.<\/a><\/p>\n
