The military economy is deteriorating in Russia. Following the fuel crisis, official statistics recorded a decline in the production of ammonium nitrate, a dual-use product used in both agriculture and the military-industrial complex.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Center for Countering Disinformation reported this.<\/p>\n

According to the Russian statistical agency, ammonium nitrate production in Russia has declined by 9% over the past year. In May alone, the decline was 14% year-on-year, the worst figure since the beginning of the year.<\/p>\n

The Center for Countering Disinformation attributes this trend to Ukrainian long-range strikes against Russian industrial facilities. Meanwhile, Russian officials attribute the decline to “unscheduled repairs.”<\/p>\n

In particular, the Azot chemical plant in the Tula region, one of the largest producers of chemical products used by the Russian military-industrial complex, recently came under attack.<\/p>\n

The Center for Strategic Studies emphasized that the decline in production in the chemical industry is further evidence of the impact of Ukrainian strikes on Russia’s strategic industrial infrastructure.<\/p>\n

“The decline in production in the Russian chemical industry is further evidence of the effectiveness of Ukrainian long-range strikes. And although Russian propaganda attempts to downplay their impact, even official statistics demonstrate the opposite,” the Center for Countering Disinformation noted.<\/p>\n
