According to him, financial and military support from allies remains a priority for Kyiv.

This is reported by Bild .

Pistorius stated that the issue of transferring Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine is not currently on the agenda. According to him, at this stage, Ukraine does not need such weapons.

The minister noted that despite the lack of significant changes on the front line, the Russian army continues to suffer significant losses, and Ukrainian forces are increasingly successfully striking targets on Russian territory.

“The situation has never looked as good as it does now. There is almost no movement on the battlefield. Sometimes a few kilometers in one direction, sometimes in the other, but always with incredible losses for the Russian armed forces. And most importantly, Ukraine is increasingly managing to hit targets on Russian territory, thereby destroying oil refineries and military logistics,” said Boris Pistorius.

He stressed that financial and military support from allies is more important for Ukraine now. In particular, we are talking about the European Union’s credit mechanisms and a new financing fund with a total volume of about 70 billion euros.

Boris Pistorius also commented on the potential threat to NATO countries from Russia. “We assume that by 2029 it will be able to take the risk of an attack – even a partial one – on NATO territory. Whether it will actually decide to do so is unknown,” the minister said.

It was previously reported that discussions are still ongoing between Ukraine and Germany regarding the transfer of Taurus missiles .
