Petro Poroshenko stated that Russia has deliberately chosen a strategy of terror and destruction of Ukraine. Therefore, it can only be stopped by coercion – sanctions that deprive resources and weapons that take out the aggressor’s military facilities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the press service of “European Solidarity”<\/a> .<\/p>\n

“Peaceful people have died again in the capital and other Ukrainian cities. Every time after another Russian attack, we say these words. And every time they sound as if human life has already become a statistic. But behind every number is someone’s unfinished life. Someone’s morning that never came. Someone’s child, mother, father… And this is especially painful,” he noted.<\/p>\n

He added that today Kyiv woke up to explosions again.<\/p>\n

“And while rescuers are pulling people out of the rubble, they themselves are forced to work under the threat of new strikes. Because even after a multi-hour night attack, the enemy did not stop,” Poroshenko noted.<\/p>\n

According to him, Russia was again not targeting military targets.<\/p>\n

“It targeted high-rise buildings, families, children, and people’s right to simply live. Just like in recent days \u2014 in Zaporizhia, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, and Dnipropetrovsk. This is not an accident. This is a deliberate strategy of terror and destruction of the country,” the fifth President of Ukraine emphasized.<\/p>\n

He noted that Channel 5 was again under attack.<\/p>\n

“Exactly a year ago, on July 10, a Russian missile hit the editorial office. Today \u2014 again. The studio was damaged, part of the equipment was destroyed, and the journalists’ workplaces were destroyed. Fortunately, people survived. Television broadcasting is temporarily impossible, but journalists have already resumed broadcasting on YouTube. This is a very symbolic blow. Because the Kremlin is afraid not only of Ukrainian weapons. It is afraid of the Ukrainian voice. Independent journalists. Truth. That is why it is attacking not only cities, but also the media,” he noted.<\/p>\n

Poroshenko added that the Kremlin is once again demonstrating that it is not looking for peace.<\/p>\n

“He is looking for the line beyond which the world is ready to get used to the mass killings of civilians. He is checking whether it is possible to destroy cities, energy, the information space with impunity and turn fear into an instrument of international politics. That is why it is impossible to convince Putin with words. He can only be forced to abandon war. With a modern air defense system. With Ukrainian drones that take out the aggressor’s military facilities. With sanctions that deprive the Kremlin of the resources to continue terror,” he is convinced.<\/p>\n

Fifth, the president sincerely thanked the air defense soldiers who once again held the Ukrainian sky that night.<\/p>\n

“Thank you to the rescuers, medics, police, energy workers and utility workers who are working tirelessly at the sites of the strikes. My sincere condolences to the families of the deceased. Strength to all the wounded,” Poroshenko concluded.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that on the night of July 6, the Russian Federation launched a massive combined strike on Ukraine<\/a> . There were deaths and dozens of injuries in Kyiv, residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged.
