Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that Belarusians do not seek war, but they do not intend to “bow their heads to the enemy.” He also assured that Belarusian soldiers will not be sent to fight in Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lukashenko made the corresponding statement during a ceremony honoring graduates of higher military educational institutions and representatives of the senior officer corps.<\/p>\n

“The Belarusian people survived incredible trials during the years of fascist occupation and, at the genetic level, do not accept war. We are peaceful people, we do not want to fight, but we do not intend to bow our heads to the enemy,” he said.<\/p>\n

According to Lukashenko, the international “war party” is allegedly trying to prolong the war in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

“Hypocrisically declaring its commitment to peace, the European Union has openly embarked on a course towards militarization. Billions are being spent on the purchase of offensive weapons. At the same time, absurd hysteria is being fueled around the supposed ‘threat from the east,'” he said.<\/p>\n

In addition, Lukashenko assured that Belarusian servicemen would not participate in the war against Ukraine.<\/p>\n

“Our alliance with Russia and commitment to a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. I emphasize once again: no one will send you to this slaughterhouse. We do not need war. It is bad that the war continues in Ukraine. We are supporters of a peaceful resolution of issues. But, as I have already said, the international “war party” does not want this,” he concluded.<\/p>\n
