GUR specialists have obtained new data on the development of Russian weapons at the Polyus research institute.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the press service of the GUR.<\/p>\n

We are talking about dozens of gigabytes of internal document flow and official information of the management and technical levels of the institute, which is a legitimate military target for the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The department noted that the Polyus Research Institute is one of the leading research and production centers in the Russian Federation, which is part of the Rostec state corporation.<\/p>\n

The institute is engaged in developments in the field of laser technologies, inertial systems, and quantum electronics.<\/p>\n

“The database obtained by intelligence officers contains information about the enemy’s existing and promising projects in the field of production of high-precision weapons, as well as modernization, in particular through the use of foreign components, missile weapons and drones, which Russia uses to wage a genocidal war against Ukraine,” the intelligence service added.<\/p>\n

The GUR emphasized that after analyzing the data obtained, they came to the conclusion: the Russian military-industrial complex is increasingly dependent on the supply of components from China.<\/p>\n

In particular, Chinese-made optical parts are key to the navigation and guidance systems of all types of Iskander tactical missiles.<\/p>\n

The GUR also reported that laser gyroscopes from the Tianjin Navigation Institute (PRC) are an important component of the navigation, stabilization, and guidance systems of various types of Russian missiles and drones.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Polyus Research Institute is participating in a project to create a Russian laser anti-drone complex. The institute is developing a technological system that should detect, track, and hold a target in the laser’s range.<\/p>\n

“According to the documents, the aggressor has already begun the stage of testing experimental samples of the specified laser complex in the Bryansk region,” the GUR noted.<\/p>\n

The department added that the data obtained will help to understand what the high-tech sector of the Russian military-industrial complex is working on, and will also show production chains, weaknesses, and Russia’s attempts to obtain foreign components for weapons production under sanctions.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Polyus Research Institute database contains personal data of Russian designers, engineers, and other specialists involved in the production of Russian weapons.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that the Russian occupation forces were ordered to intensify FPV drone strikes on Zaporizhia<\/a> , in particular on civilian objects in the city. To this end, they were promised an increase in the supply of attack drones.<\/p>\n
