Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation are conducting investigative actions in criminal proceedings regarding the possible overestimation of the cost of drones that were supplied to one of the state defense customers in 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation.<\/p>\n

It is known that the investigation is being carried out under articles on the misappropriation of property in particularly large amounts, legalization of proceeds from crime, as well as forgery of documents for state registration of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, in 2025, a private company fulfilled state contracts for the supply of unmanned aerial vehicles of various types and modifications for a total amount of almost 7 billion hryvnias.<\/p>\n

Investigators are currently investigating information that officials may have inflated the cost of products, including excessive production, administrative, and other costs. According to the investigation, this could have affected the final cost of drones purchased with budget funds.<\/p>\n

According to the case materials, law enforcement officers are also analyzing financial transactions worth over 197 million hryvnias for possible money laundering.<\/p>\n

The investigation has already identified more than 150 individual entrepreneurs who were likely used in the scheme. Among them are manicurists, students, store employees, and representatives of other professions.<\/p>\n

Some of them have already been questioned as witnesses. According to them, they did not actually carry out entrepreneurial activities, and they handed over documents for state registration to third parties for a monetary reward.<\/p>\n

The necessary investigative and procedural actions are currently underway, aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the possible commission of criminal offenses, the circle of persons involved, and the amount of damage caused to the state.<\/p>\n
