On July 8, the defense forces struck a key point of entry of electricity into temporarily occupied Crimea from Russian territory. In addition, several other strategic Russian facilities were hit: five electrical substations, a training ground, a repair base, and three radar stations.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced by<\/a> the Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert “Magyar” Brovdi, on his Telegram channel.<\/p>\n

According to him, the key electricity receiving facility was hit by the Kuban-Crimea energy bridge – the point of entry of electricity supply from the territory of the Russian Federation to the temporarily occupied peninsula. The length of the energy bridge is 14.5 km, it is laid with four underwater cable lines. The affected transition point PP-2 “Crimea” receives these cables and transmits electricity to overhead power lines.<\/p>\n

According to the commander, from July 1 to 8, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces have already struck 50 energy facilities in Crimea and in the south of the temporarily occupied territories.<\/p>\n

Among the targets hit were the Kuban-Crimea electricity transfer point, five electrical substations in Crimea and the Luhansk region, three radar stations, a repair base of the 27th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Russian Federation, and the Gvardiyskiy training ground.<\/p>\n

In addition, during the night, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces struck 53 military targets in the enemy’s operational depth in Crimea and in the south of the temporarily occupied territories.<\/p>\n

All strikes were carried out under the coordination of the newly created Deep Strike Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that on the night of July 8, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of strategic facilities on Russian territory<\/a> , including two oil refineries, six shadow fleet tankers, a military airfield, and transport bridges.<\/p>\n
