A fatal road accident involving a truck and a minibus occurred in the Odessa region. A 15-year-old boy died in the accident, and nine other people were hospitalized.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> to the Odessa region police.<\/p>\n

The accident occurred this morning on the Kyiv-Odesa highway near the village of Odai, Shiryaivska community. According to preliminary data, a MAN truck and a Mercedes minibus, which was carrying out private passenger transportation, collided. <\/p>\n

Police said there were 15 passengers and the driver in the minibus. A 15-year-old passenger in the minibus died in the collision.<\/p>\n

Nine other people, including six minors, were injured and taken to hospital. Five of the injured were treated at the scene.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement officers are currently working at the scene of the accident to determine all the circumstances and causes of the accident. Traffic in the direction of Odessa is partially restricted.<\/p>\n

Investigators have opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine into the accident. A pre-trial investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n
