On the night of Thursday, July 9, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces hit 14 vessels of the Russian “shadow fleet” in the Sea of Azov. Among them were 12 tankers, one dry cargo ship, and one tugboat.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced by<\/a> the Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert Brovdi (“Magyar”).<\/p>\n

According to him, during the night, the Ukrainian military hit 45 targets in temporarily occupied Crimea and the southern occupied territories of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Among the affected facilities: Saksk CHP, three fuel and lubricant warehouses and bases, two logistics bases, the “Zhitel” electronic warfare station, communication towers, fuel tankers, and vessels of the Russian “shadow fleet”.<\/p>\n

According to Brody, among the ships hit on the night of July 9 were the tankers Chelsea-6, Aura, Sonar-1, Ilya Repin, Galiaskar Kamal, the tug Alfeo with the barge Aphrodite, as well as the tankers Venus-3 and Penelope. Information about five more vessels is being clarified.<\/p>\n

The SBS commander noted that all identified tankers are part of the Russian “shadow fleet” and are under international sanctions.<\/p>\n

He also reported that over the past four days, the Unmanned Systems Forces have already hit 35 tankers, dry cargo ships, and other special vessels that Russia uses for maritime logistics.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on July 8, the Defense Forces struck a key point of entry of electricity into the temporarily occupied Crimea from Russian territory. In addition, several other strategic Russian facilities were hit: five electrical substations, a training ground, a repair base, and three radar stations.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, units of the Defense Forces also struck a reserve storage facility for fuel accumulation and storage, an oil pumping station in Ufa, and an oil loading terminal in the Rostov region.<\/a><\/p>\n
