The new prices will be effective on the metro, buses, trams, trolleybuses and funicular from July 15.

For passengers using a transport card, the cost of one trip will depend on the number of trips purchased:

1-9 trips – 30 hryvnias;

10-19 — 28.90 hryvnias;

20-29 — 27.80 hryvnias;

30-39 — 26.60 hryvnias;

40-49 — 25.50 hryvnias;

50 trips – 25 hryvnias.

The cost of an unlimited monthly pass for the metro, bus, tram, trolleybus and funicular will be 4875 hryvnias . Students will pay 25% of its cost during the summer holidays, and will use public transport for free during the academic year.

For guests of the capital, unlimited travel passes for 24, 48, and 72 hours will be introduced, costing 375, 563, and 750 hryvnias, respectively.

Starting August 1, a transfer ticket worth 60 hryvnias will also be introduced in Kyiv. It will allow unlimited transfers between the metro and ground public transport for 90 minutes.

Trips purchased before July 14 at a price of 8 hryvnia will remain valid until September 14, 2026. After that, the unused balance will be automatically transferred to the cash equivalent on the transport card.

The Kyiv City State Administration explained that the need to revise tariffs is due to the increase in transport enterprises’ costs for electricity, fuel, labor and infrastructure maintenance, as well as a decrease in passenger traffic. According to transport enterprises’ calculations, the economically justified tariff for 2026 is 64.60 hryvnias per trip on the metro and 44.14 hryvnias for ground public transport.

It was previously reported that Kyiv plans to update fares for public transport .
