Law enforcement officers have exposed an organized group of individuals involved in the illegal detention and premeditated murder of two civilians in the Kyiv region. The former commander of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade and other identified participants in the case have been informed of the suspicion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the Military Law Enforcement Service.<\/p>\n

On the instructions of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrsky, the Internal Security Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of the Main Directorate of the Military Law Enforcement Service, together with the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kyiv region, conducted a complex of operational, search and investigation measures.<\/p>\n

As a result, law enforcement officers exposed an organized group involved in the illegal deprivation of liberty and intentional murder of two civilians<\/strong> in the Kyiv region.<\/p>\n

According to the results of the investigation , the former commander of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade<\/strong> of the Operational Command “North” of the Ground Forces and all currently identified participants<\/strong> in the crime were informed of suspicion of criminal offenses related to illegal deprivation of liberty and premeditated murder.<\/p>\n

The Military Law Enforcement Service reported that law enforcement officers have identified all currently known individuals involved in the crime, documented their activities, made arrests in several regions of Ukraine, and collected evidence.<\/p>\n

In connection with the investigation, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has strengthened a set of preventive and control measures aimed at preventing violations of military discipline, abuse of official authority, and other unlawful actions by military personnel.<\/p>\n

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported<\/a> that the persons involved in the criminal proceedings have been suspended from duty. Efforts are also underway to establish the location of the former brigade commander, who left the military unit without permission.<\/p>\n

The General Staff also emphasized that they are cooperating with law enforcement agencies at all stages of the pre-trial investigation and stated that if proven guilty, those involved will be held accountable “for every crime committed, regardless of position or previous merits.” They also emphasized intolerance for any unlawful manifestations among personnel.<\/p>\n

Recall that employees of the State Bureau of Investigation detained a serviceman of the 425th separate assault regiment “Skelya”, who is suspected of violence against his colleagues<\/a> . The investigation is establishing the circumstances of two incidents, which resulted in the injuries of a military chaplain and a lieutenant colonel.<\/p>\n
