JSC “Ukrainian Defense Industry” has dismissed the heads of two state-owned enterprises after the explosions in Vyshneve, Kyiv region. A preliminary investigation found violations of the requirements of the law and rules for the safe storage of ammunition.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the press service<\/a> of Ukroboronprom.<\/p>\n

According to the results of a preliminary investigation, the heads of two state-owned enterprises were dismissed due to violations of the requirements of the law and rules for the safe storage of ammunition.<\/p>\n

Other officials whose actions or inaction could have led to serious consequences were also dismissed.<\/p>\n

Ukroboronprom noted that the guilty parties, in addition to dismissal, will bear criminal liability in accordance with current legislation.<\/p>\n

Currently, a comprehensive check of compliance with storage and safety requirements when working with weapons of mass destruction is underway at all enterprises of JSC “Ukrainian Defense Industry”.<\/p>\n

Recall that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky instructed the Security Service of Ukraine and other law enforcement agencies to inspect defense industry enterprises after the explosion in Vyshneve<\/a> . The head of state also announced new decisions regarding security and the restoration of damaged facilities.<\/p>\n

The day before, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that during a Russian attack on the night of July 6 in Vyshneve, Kyiv region, an ammunition depot at one of Ukroboronprom’s enterprises was hit<\/a> . According to him, a criminal case has been opened after the tragedy, and personnel decisions are expected at the concern.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that after the Russian attack, evacuation points were opened in Vyshneve for residents who wish to leave the community<\/a> .<\/p>\n
