According to CENTCOM, the operation is aimed at degrading Iran&#8217;s ability to attack international shipping transiting the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n<p> The command noted that during the operation, Iranian air defense systems, coastal radar systems, missile and unmanned aerial vehicles, and small vessels were attacked for the first time using American fighter jets, naval ships, and attack aircraft and maritime drones.<\/p>\n<p> At the same time, CENTCOM did not disclose the specific types of drones used.
